Mikel backs Boniface for greatness
Former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi has backed Victor Boniface to become one of the best forwards in the world.
Boniface has hugged the headlines with his impressive performances for Bundesliga leaders, Bayer Leverkusen this season.
The 23-year-old striker has scored 10 goals and added seven assists in the current Bundesliga season
Boniface has also won the Rookie of the Month award four times in a row.
With this impressive count, Mikel is backing Boniface to rule the world in the next couple of years.
“He (Boniface) will become a complete striker in the next couple of years. He has the physique, he is quick, good on the ball, technically very good and it’s difficult to see strikers that are that big and strong and powerful and then good on the ball as well,” Mikel told Obionepodcast.
“His assists as well, not just scoring goals, is something that will make this kid special, really, really special. I can’t wait to see what his journey will be in the next couple of years.”
