Super Eagles striker, Terem Moffi has ruptured his cruciate ligament and will be out of competitive football action for at least the first half of the 2024/25 season.
Moffi’s club, OGC Nice confirmed the gravity of the forward’s injury in a statement on its official website and social media platforms on Wednesday afternoon.
“Injured during training, Terem Moffi (25) underwent further tests today (Wednesday). The results confirmed a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee,” Nice wrote.
“The Nigerian striker who has so far scored 20 goals in 52 games for Nice will be able to count on the unwavering support of the entire Rouge et Noir family.
“Staff, team-mates, Le Gym employees and supporters will all be with him during his recovery and wish him a speedy recovery. Take care Terem, you’ll come back stronger!
