Exactly two weeks after pay television network StarTimes Nigeria increased subscription rates on its packages, MultiChoice Nigeria on Tuesday, announced an upward review of prices on its DStv and GOtv packages.
According to a text message to customers, sighted by TMY Newspapers, the new rates will take effect from May 1, 2023.
The leading pay-tv network said the price increment was occasioned to the rising costs of business operations in Nigeria.
“Please note that from May 1, your monthly subscription (premium) will be N24,500. To retain your old price of N21,000 for up to 12 months ensure you are active by April 30,” the text message reads.
With this latest prices increment, TMY Newspapers gathered that the price on the Compact+ bouquet would rise to N16,600 from N14, 250 monthly.
For those who subscribe to the Compact bouquet, they will now pay N10,500 as against N9,000; while those on Confam package are going to pay N6,200 compared to the previous N5,300.
For subscribers on the GOtv Supa package, they will now pay N6,400 as against N5,500; while those on GOtv Max are to pay N4,850 as against N4,150.
GOtv Jolli package price will increase to N3,300 from N2,800; while that of the GOtv Jinja and GOtv Lite will jump from N1,900 to N2,250; and from N900 to N1,100, respectively.
