The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested several suspected drug traffickers, including a 70-year-old man, during coordinated operations across multiple states. The agency also intercepted significant quantities of illicit drugs in the operations, according to a statement issued by its spokesperson, Femi Babafemi.

The arrests and seizures were recorded in different locations as NDLEA operatives continued efforts to disrupt the activities of drug trafficking networks. The operations targeted individuals suspected of transporting, storing or distributing prohibited substances.

The agency said the latest operations demonstrate its continued focus on dismantling criminal networks involved in the illicit drug trade. Those arrested are expected to face further investigation to establish their alleged roles and connections to the trafficking activities.

NDLEA officials reiterated their commitment to sustaining nationwide operations against drug trafficking and other related offences. The agency said investigations into the arrests and recovered substances are ongoing, with further action to follow in line with the law.
