Presidency keeps mum on cost as Tinubu launches newly acquired presidential jet
The Presidency has confirmed that the nation has added a new jet to the Presidential fleet.
President Bola Tinubu departed Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), on board the new aircraft.
Special Adviser to the President on Information and and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said in a statement that the jet replaces the 19-year-old Boeing B737-700 purchased under former president Olusegun Obasanjo.
Onanuga said the airbus A330 will save Nigeria “huge maintenance and fuel costs, running into millions of dollars yearly” in servicing the old aircraft.
