Concrete arrangements are being finalised for President Bola Tinubu to travel to China in the opening week of September 2024.
In a statement by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the journey to Asian nation will allow President Tinubu to have an opportunity to meet with the Chinese Prime Minister, Xi Jinping, during which bilateral matters will be talked about.
The Nigerian President will also meet with the management of China’s construction giants, the Chinese Rail Construction Company (CRCC) with a view to finalizing contract terms for the Ibadan to Abuja rail project.
President Tinubu’s spokesman further stated that the trip to China will attract other foreign direct investment to Nigeria, particularly in the areas of agriculture, power, commerce and communications, as different MOUs would be signed.
