Presidential election: Atiku wins in Akwa Ibom State

As the collation of the presidential election continues across the country, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar has won the national election in Akwa Ibom State.

 

Disclosing this on Monday, the State Collation Officer, Prof Emmanuel Adigio, who is Vice Chancellor of Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State said Atiku polled 214,012 votes to beat the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, who secured 160,620 votes.

 

Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi was able to garner 132,683 votes.

 

The victory of the former vice president comes as a massive relief for Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, who is Chairman of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, PCC.
