PSG table shock offer for Salah

...to blow Liverpool contract extension proposal out of water

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made a move for Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, with the Ligue 1 giants offering the forward a three-year deal.

Salah’s contract with Liverpool is set to run out in six months’ time and the Egyptian superstar is now free to negotiate a free transfer with any potential suitors. The Premier League’s top scorer has been very vocal about a lack of progress in negotiations over a renewal at Anfield, with Paris Saint-Germain now aiming to capitalise on the situation.

As per French journalist Romain Collet Gaudin, PSG have already offered Salah a lucrative three-year contract at Parc de Princes. The Ligue 1 giants are prepared to pay the 32-year-old €500,000-per-week in wages as they bid to make him their first marquee signing since the departure of Kylian Mbappe, who joined Real Madrid in the summer.

As per the report, Liverpool are only willing to hand the Egyptian forward a new two-year deal. Additionally, their wage increase offer to Salah comes in lower than PSG’s at €400,000-per-week.

Liverpool will likely have to up their standing offer if they want to keep Salah at Anfield beyond the end of the season. He is due back in action for Arne Slot’s side in a huge Premier League clash against Manchester United on Sunday.
