The video show both entertainers in their days of competitive beginning in the industry
A resurfaced throwback video of popular Nigerian comedian, actor, songwriter and musician, Samuel Animashaun Perry known professionally as Broda Shaggi and afrobeats sensation, Ahmed Ololade well known as Asake or Ololade Mr Money, has set the social space buzzing as it went viral, with many netizens seeing it for the first time commending their humble beginning.
The video show both entertainers in their days of competitive beginning in the industry, wherein, as of the that time, Asake was a backup for Broda Shaggi. Though Broda Shaggi was already making his way as a comedian and content creator, Asake was yet to be known as a singer, as he used to be a jack of all trades trying succeed in life.
The video resurfaced online, following the release of Asake third album on Friday, August 9, and titled ‘Lungu Boy’. In the video, both Broda Shaggi and Asake, who then serves as backup and road manager to him, were seen engaging in a prayer session.
While they both started prayer session well in the comedy skit, they ended up on bad terms, as Asake walked away following Shaggi’s style of prayer, as he kick-started the prayer by giving thanks and praise to God. Shaggi went ahead to lay heavy curse on someone who stole the head of his new charger, saying; “Father Lord anybody that steals my charger head cut his head.”
Responding, Asake who feels guilty said, “No dey use prayer curse person, didn’t you hear that Bible say pray for your enemy.” But Shaggi who was clearly aware that it’s Asake, who was his roommate that stole it, utters; “Any enemy that steals my charger head, Dangote trailer should jam him on the expressway.”
Worried and tired about the excessive curse, Asake stood up and gave Shaggi the charger head and left angrily. He said “Take your charger,” but the comedian was not yet done as he responded with one more curse: “God go punish you.”
