Self-development key to success in Nollywood – Hannah Cyril

Amuna described Nollywood as another world with so many characters

Nollywood actress and brand influencer, Chioma Amuna, a.k.a Hannah Cyril, has advised upcoming actors to invest in themselves to survive challenges in the industry.

According to the Enugu State-born Thespian, if one is not opportune to meet people who will support and sponsor her in the industry, the person may end up not achieving anything.
“As someone aspiring to be an actor, you have to invest in your personal growth. Education is very important, and above all, learning a skill or trade to support yourself financially, especially with Nigeria’s economy being open, fragile and susceptible.

“Parents should not allow their children to be actors without teaching them to be independent. Even me, I am doing other businesses to support my acting career,” Amuna advised.

She equally admonished upcoming acts to be passionate and focused on becoming the best without putting money first.

Continuing, she said: “When you are more interested in how much you will be paid, you may lose it. As a good actor, you must be passionate about acting roles to deliver your best.”

Amuna described Nollywood as another world with so many characters, noting that one should be mentally prepared and emotionally ready to overcome the pressure in the industry.
