The Plateau NSCDC has arrested five individuals for allegedly diverting trucks carrying fertilizer.

The two trucks of fertilizer, originally allocated to Oyo and Lagos States, were diverted to Bauchi State. Allocation papers confirmed the trucks’ intended destinations before the alleged diversion.

According to the NSCDC Plateau State Command spokesperson, the trucks and five suspects were apprehended based on intelligence reports from the National Security Adviser’s office.

The NSCDC has launched an investigation to determine the reasons behind the diversion.
