Thembi Shilenge gives back to less privileged persons in South African community

Renowned cryptocurrency guru, Shilenge Thembi Portia, has been giving back to the less privileges persons and sick children in a South African community.

While revealing the reasons she established Fems in Tech, a vision-driven movement conceived to drive the revolution of women in tech to deepen inclusive financial products leveraging technology, Thembi Shilenge also spoke on how philanthropy has been driving the optics in the firm.

Thembi Shilenge, the CEO of Crypto Dimensions, is passionate about creating wealth and promoting alternative financial payment solutions in Africa. The South African is a popular crypto coach and trader. The businesswoman ventured into bitcoin trading, mining, and staking in 2016, when global acceptability of the trade was scarce and vague.

However, Thembi Shilenge rather improved her knowledge, so much so that she added value to herself in Ripple, Ethereum, Monero, and Dashcoin and Poloniex Exchange—all other cryptocurrencies. Like they say, the rest is history. The trailblazer has become a recognised international cryptocurrency figure.

Thembi Shilenge’s mentoring programme aimed at raising future giants in the business, has produced hundreds of young traders across the continent, creating wealth and stamping her profile as a role model and showcasing her impact and expertise in the field.

Thembi Shilenge’s growing influence as a financial technologist on the continent inspired Fems In Tech, which celebrates female excellence in fintech, business, and finance. The initiative is not only fostering innovation but also promoting women’s significant strides in the financial technology sector.

“Whether it’s creating inclusive financial products, leveraging technology for financial inclusion, or advocating for diversity in the industry, women in fintech are making a difference. Their contributions are not only driving economic growth but also paving the way for a more equitable and diverse future in finance,” she added.

Thembi Shilenge is undoubtedly an all-round philanthropist. In a recent outreach programe, Fems In Tech, led by Thembi Shilenge, organized a visit to a clinic and school for disabled children in the Mmakaunyane (MMK) Community in South Africa, on the occasion of the 2024 Children’s Day.

Under Thembi Shilenge’s leadership, Fem in Tech provided meals to the children, before taking their medication after long travels to the clinic.
