Tinibu says Tiv, Idoma, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo must unite to build Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu has appealed to Nigerians to unite with him in building the country.
Tinubu said Tiv, Idoma, Hausa, Yoruba, or Igbo should unite in building Nigeria because they have a shared heritage.
Speaking in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, Tinubu appealed to Nigerians to stop seeing each other as enemies.
He said: “Whether you are Tiv, Idoma, Hausa, Yoruba, or Igbo, this country is our shared heritage. We must build it together.
“We must find solutions, not just talk about the problems. Let us stop seeing one another as enemies. We must stop opening doors to terror and violence. We must embrace peace with serious understanding.”
Tinubu paid a condolence visit to Benue State on Wednesday following the killings in the Yelewata area of the state.
More than 200 persons have been murdered during the attack in Yelewata and other communities surrounding the Benue-Nasarawa corridor.
