President Bola Tinubu has been hosted by King Charles III at Buckingham Palace in the United Kingdom (UK).

New media aide to the Nigerian president, Olusegun Dada, posted a photograph of both men exchanging pleasantries in a post on X on Thursday.

The media assistant said continued diplomatic ties and partnership between Nigeria and the UK were discussed at the meeting.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu visited His Majesty, King Charles at Buckingham Palace,” he said.

“The significant meeting, highlighting the continued diplomatic ties and partnership between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.”

King Charles III and Tinubu last met in November 2023 shortly before the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

President Tinubu travelled to the UK after visiting China, where a number of agreements were signed between Nigeria and the Asian giant.

Tinubu is set to leave the UK for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
