Tinubu wins presidential election in Oyo state

As the collation of votes in the 2023 presidential election continue nationwide, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu has won the election held in Oyo State.

The former Lagos State governor was declared the winner of the election at the state collation centre on Monday.

The state collation officer, Professor Olusola Babatunde Kehinde announced the result of the election at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office on Monday.

The collation officer who is also the acting Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, announced that Tinubu scored a total of 449,884 to dust all other candidates.

He said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Abubakar Atiku polled 182,977 votes while the Labour party candidate, Peter Obi scooped 99,110 votes.
