Top stakeholders task Eric Chelle to qualify Super Eagles for 2026 World Cup


Leading pillars of football in Nigeria have challenged coach Eric Chelle to qualify the Super Eagles for the 2026 FIFA World Cup holding in USA, Canada and Mexico
They passed this message at a private dinner hosted for Chell by Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs,Bashir Adewale Adeniyi.
The dignitaries include former sports ministers Sunday Dare, NSC chairman Shehu Dikko, NSC Director General Bukola Olopade, secretary general of the Nigerian Football Federation Sanusi Mohammed, ex-international Segun Odegbami, NFF head of international competitions and Super Eagles administrator, Dayo Enebi.
Other officials at the dinner included Seyi Johnson, Kola Daniel and Ahmed Kawu from the NSC.
Chelle said he is boosted to perform well as Super Eagles coach.
Eagles are fifth in Group C of the World Cup qualifying series with three points from four matches.
Next month, the Super Eagles battle Rwanda and Zimbabwe in qualifying matches that they must win to stand a chance of qualifying for the World Cup holding next year.
