Troops of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have foiled separate terrorist attacks in Katsina and Kebbi states, killing two suspected terrorists and rescuing construction workers. The operations were carried out as security forces intensified efforts to disrupt terrorist activities and protect civilians in the two states.

In Katsina, troops reportedly engaged suspected terrorists during an operation and neutralised one of the attackers. The operation also led to the rescue of construction workers who had come under threat, while troops continued efforts to track other members of the group.

A separate operation in Kebbi also resulted in the death of another suspected terrorist and the rescue of construction workers. The military said the operations demonstrated the troops’ continued commitment to protecting communities and personnel working on development projects in areas affected by insecurity.

The latest operations form part of ongoing security efforts by Operation FANSAN YAMMA to counter terrorism and other violent crimes across the North West. Troops are continuing operations in affected areas to prevent further attacks and restore security.
