Wike blasts Fubara, says Governor’s letter to Assembly useless

Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has labelled the letter on budget representation written by Governor Simi Fubara to the Rivers State House of Assembly as ‘useless.’.

This comes after Rivers Assembly Speaker Martin Amaewhule issued Fubara a 48-hour ultimatum to represent the 2025 budget.

Amaewhule’s ultimatum was coming after the Supreme Court, in a judgement delivered by Justice Emmanuel Akomaye Agim, ordered the 27 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly to resume functions immediately.

In his reaction, Wike stated that Fubara is not sincere with his pursuit of peace in Rivers State.
