Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Unveils 20-Day Christmas Festival at MMA2

Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), the managers of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2), has announced an exciting 20-day Christmas Festival designed to offer travelers an “unforgettable” holiday experience.
The event, organized in partnership with MBR Signature and Optiva Capital Partners, will kick off on December 1 at MMA2 in Lagos.
At a media briefing held in Lagos, Remi Jibodu, Head of Aeronautical Services and Acting Chief Operating Officer of BASL, described the free-for-all festival as a truly magical Christmas initiative aimed at spreading joy and creating cherished memories for travelers.
Stanley Ezeani, Managing Director of MBR Signature and Co-Founder of SheCan Nigeria, shared details of the festival, highlighting its diverse daily activities. “We are creating a 360-degree Christmas experience, designed to activate magical moments,” Ezeani said.
The festival will feature: A mega stage for Christmas carols and artistic performances.
A 10-meter Santa grotto. A free-to-play grand piano for musically inclined travelers. Performances by top artists, cultural day, special kids’ day and many other engaging activities.
Spreading Joy and Celebrating Culture
Dr. Jane Kimemia, CEO of Optiva Capital Partners, emphasized the festival’s alignment with the organization’s mission to enrich lives and spread joy.
“Christmas is a season of reflection, family connections, and planning for the future. This festival is our gift to travelers, families, and stakeholders—a chance to experience the magic of Christmas right here in Nigeria,” Kimemia remarked. She added that the initiative aims to transform the airport from a mere transit hub into a place of celebration and cherished memories.
Kimemia also highlighted the festival’s broader goals of showcasing Nigeria’s cultural richness and positioning the country as a land of possibilities. “This event symbolizes our commitment to creating meaningful experiences, celebrating diversity, and investing in initiatives that bring lasting value to families, businesses, and communities,” she noted.
Kola Bamigboye, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Space and Premises at BASL, assured the public that the festival’s activities had been carefully planned to ensure no disruptions to flight operations throughout its 20-day duration.
With this ambitious festival, MMA2 aims to become more than just a transit point, offering travelers a warm and festive welcome this holiday season.
