Anthony Joshua set for boxing comeback in spring of 2023
Eddie Hearn has stated that British-born boxer Anthony Joshua, who has Nigerian heritage will make his return to boxing in the spring of 2023 at The 02 Arena.
Recall that Joshua last fought in August when he was defeated by Oleksandr Usyk for the second time, subsequently losing his heavyweight world titles
The 33-year-old boxer has taken some time away from boxing after the defeat to the Ukrainian.
Now the promoter of Joshua, Hearn has confirmed the news that AJ would return to the ring in the spring, with the heavyweight boxer lined up to fight at The 02 Arena.
Many names have been linked with facing off against Joshua, comprising Dillian Whyte, Deontay Wilder and Otto Wallin, but Hearn has kept a tight-lip on Joshua’s next opponent in the ring.
Speaking to iFL TV, Hearn said, ‘He’ll be fighting in the spring for sure.
‘I don’t want to give you too many names, because people get excited, disappointed, moan.
‘Just wait and see. It will be a top 15 guy and he’ll (Joshua) be ready to show the world he’s coming for the heavyweight title again.’
