Dyche says Iwobi not leaving Everton
Everton manager, Sean Dyche, has downplayed Alex Iwobi’s departure from Goodison Park Stadium.
According to recent rumours, Iwobi is no longer content with his present club, and the Turkish outfit Fenerbahçe is considering an out-of-window transfer move for the star.
The former Burnley boss, on the other hand, has dispelled the report, claiming that the 26-year-old is content with Everton.
The Super Eagles attacker, whose contract on Merseyside is in its last 18 months, has been essential in the Toffees’ fight to avoid the relegation zone.
Per the previous reports, the Blues are reportedly pressing ahead with a new deal to lengthen his time at the club, following the recent agreement with Jordan Pickford.
When asked about Iwobi’s future at Everton, Dyche said, “Well, I’ve seen him today, and he seems to be quite happy at the moment… it is unlikely, I would suggest”.
Iwobi has featured in nearly all of Everton’s Premier League contests so far this season, and from midfield, he has contributed with one goal and six assists in the English Premier League.
