How N20,000 stopped me from university– Ice Prince

Nigerian singer Panshak Zamani, popularly known as Ice Prince, has opened up about his childhood struggles as an orphan.
The ‘Aboki’ crooner shared that his life took a challenging turn when he lost his mother at the age of 21, having already lost his father at the young age of 11.
In a recent episode of the ‘Listen’ podcast, Ice Prince revealed that he worked various menial jobs to support himself through school but could not attend university due to a lack of N20,000.
He stated, “I don’t have a mother or father. I’m an only son. That’s quite tough. I was eleven years old when I lost my dad, and I was about 21 or 22 when my mum passed away. I have a huge family that depends on me. I don’t have any uncles, aunts, godfathers, or godmothers to rely on. It has been nothing but God in my side.
