SunshineGzuz is a lyricist and fast-rising singer taking the entertainment industry by storm. Since he gained attention on the scenery, Onugha Chike consistently steals attention with his melodious tunes to charm his fans home and abroad.
The singer, who is known for his Afro-fusion sort of music, hails from Obosi inAnambra State, South-east Nigeria. SunshineGzuz became a music sensation in 2020; the perfect year in which the world was locked down and gave all ears to him. He captivated many and immediately won fans with the release of his first single, “Energy”, earlier in the year. He also went on to record “Why, “Joromi” and “Don’t stress it”, months later in the same year.
Last year, SunshineGzuz released two hit singles; “Kontrola”, and he featured Suscex and Scotty in “Correct.” The budding Afrobeat singer and rapper, born on May 5th, 1996, is widely considered as one of the golden R&B voices from the eastern part of the nation.
The 26-year-old’s popularity on a global scale is undoubtedlyon the rise. SunshineGzuz’s videos on YouTube are grinding out very impressive numbers, ad well as his mp3s on all international streaming platforms. The visuals for his hit single, “Kontrola”, has hit more than 3,500 views in just three weeks.
In a post to his Instagram handle on June 30th, 2023, Onugha Victor Chike disclosed the release of his new single, “Popo.” Announcing the track in which he featured Highstarlavista and produced by Loudsilens, he wrote: “We don’t wanna do anything to scare your children, that’s the last thing we wanna do. We don’t wanna scare anybody. Glad to announce the release of the most anticipated jam of the summer #POP0 ft highstarlavista.”
In a recent interview, he spoke about the abundant talent in the industry and promised to release new songs, a promise which he has fulfilled. During the media session, SunshineGzuz credited his inspiration to God and the state of the country.
“No doubts about the talents we have in Nigeria. As a young artist you must stay on your game releasing new contents to keep the flow and remain relevant.
“I have often told people in the industry who come to ask for my source of inspiration that God is the main source. Also as a Nigerian living in Nigeria, the daily bustling and hustle to survive is enough to inspire anyone. I also like to embark on a solo journey to somewhere calm where i reflect and note things down,” he had said.
