The election of Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State in this year’s gubernatorial election, has been upheld by the Supreme Court.
Governor Alia, who won under the All Progressives Congress, APC, defeated the governorship candidate of the PDP, Titus Uba.
The governorship election petition tribunal and the Court of Appeal in Abuja had affirmed the election of Alia as governor of Benue State.
Not satisfied with the judgments, Uba went to the Supreme Court to seek redress.
And now the apex court in the land has put the matter to a rest, with the affirmation of Alia’s victory at the polls.
