Police Arrest Suspected Kidnapper, Recover Motorcycle and Phone in Bauchi
30-year-old man detained as police investigate alleged role in criminal conspiracy and kidnapping

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested 30-year-old Abdulmumini Sarki, who is suspected of involvement in criminal conspiracy and kidnapping. The suspect was apprehended during an operation by police operatives in the state as part of efforts to tackle kidnapping and other violent crimes.
Police said the arrest followed intelligence gathered on suspected criminal activities. Operatives also recovered a motorcycle and a mobile phone believed to be connected to the investigation. The items have been retained as exhibits while detectives continue their inquiries.
The command said Sarki is being questioned to establish his alleged involvement in the offence and determine whether he has links to other criminal activities. Investigators are also working to gather further evidence as the case progresses.
The suspect remains in police custody as investigations continue. Authorities said the operation forms part of sustained efforts to identify and dismantle criminal networks operating in Bauchi State and improve security for residents.
