Manchester United are willing to give Jadon Sancho a chance to redeem himself at Old Trafford, with a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain now unlikely.
Sancho’s future has been up in the air all summer, with French champions PSG exploring a move for the former Manchester United outcast. But according to The Telegraph, the Ligue 1 giants are not expected to step up their interest, meaning the England international may be forced to stay and fight for his place under Erik ten Hag.
Sancho was exiled last season after publicly criticising his manager, but after impressing on loan at Borussia Dortmund, he has played his way back into Ten Hag’s plans and has been a regular feature during pre-season.
He will now provide an extra attacking threat alongside summer signing Joshua Zirkzee as the Red Devils look to build on their eighth-placed finish last term.
Sancho helped guide Borussia Dortmund to the Champions League at Wembley a few months ago. The 24-year-old made 21 appearances across the Bundesliga and Europe’s top competition in the second half of the campaign 2023-24 campaign.
With two years left on his contract, Sancho still has time to leave a positive impression at Old Trafford. The Red Devils kick off the new Premier League season on Friday night when they take on Fulham and Sancho will be hoping to have a role to play in the curtain-raiser.
