Ukrainians mark one year of Russian invasion

President Zelensky has said Ukraine will do everything it can to defeat Russia this year, marking the anniversary of Vladimir Putin’s invasion.

 

Ceremonies are taking place across Ukraine including Bucha – where Russian forces were accused of committing crimes against humanity.

 

The conflict has become the worst in Europe since the World War Two. The UN passed a resolution late on Thursday condemning Russia.

 

There will be minute’s silence across the UK at 11:00 GMT, led by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
