US launches strikes on Iran for second night, as Tehran targets Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar

The US says it hit 90 targets, in a second nights of strikes on Iran
Iranian media reported that explosions were heard in areas along the country’s southern coast and that strikes have hit Iranian-controlled islands in the Gulf
Several Gulf nations have since reported Iranian attacks – Tehran says it targeted US bases in Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran’s chief negotiator with the US, says America “still hasn’t learned that bullying and breaking promises are no longer cost-free”
Donald Trump says Iran wants “to make a deal” but “I don’t know if they’re worthy” – less than 24 hours after saying talks are a “waste of time”
It follows US strikes on Tuesday, which US Central Command said were in response to attacks on three commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz
There is a grim predictability about this round of fighting.
