Globally, organisations such as the International Monetary Fund have also highlighted that developing economies can unlock significant economic growth through digital technologies and artificial intelligence only if they improve internet access, electricity supply, digital infrastructure and technical skills. Without these foundations, the benefits of digital transformation may remain limited.
